CLEANIN' UP THE TOWN: Remembering Ghostbusters.
Lovers of film and film history, brother and sister team, filmmaker Anthony Bueno and film presenter Claire Bueno set off on a journey eight years ago to tell an honest, unbiased story of how Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II came to fruition from inception through to production.
Based in the UK, the journey has taken the Buenos all over the United States from Lily Dale to Jacksonville cross country to San Diego, LA and San Francisco.
The intention of CLEANIN' UP THE TOWN: Remembering Ghostbusters is to deliver the most complete account of how these classic films were made and hence have interviewed over 70 members of the cast and crew responsible for bringing these stories to life including Actors Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Ernie Hudson and Sigourney Weaver, Director Ivan Reitman, Producers Joe Medjuck and Michael C. Gross, Visual Effects crew including Richard Edlund, John Bruno, Dennis Muren and Ned Gorman and Editor Sheldon Kahn.
Made in 1984 in the pre digital age when special effects were still evolving. Ghostbusters was an instant hit followed up five years later with Ghostbusters 2. Now with a string of spin offs from cartoons, video games to the new female led Ghostbusters, we uncover in these feature length documentaries why the love of these films have lasted over 30 years and sparked the imagination of so many. .
After eight years and self funding documentary CLEANIN' UP THE TOWN: Remembering Ghostbusters Claire and Anthony Bueno are appealing to fans and filmmakers to pledge a donation which will allow them to complete their documentary about Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II.
